Mission & Interests

Goals: APPA is the most representative Spanish Renewable Energy (RES) Association grouped in 9 different sections representing all kind of RES technologies (biofuels, biomass, wind energy, geothermal energy, marine energy, small wind, small hydro, solar photovoltaic, self-consumption). Constituted in 1987, APPA today counts more than 400 members (RES & biofuel producers, financial entities, consultancies and others RES sector associations). With an active presence in Spain and in Europe, APPA Renewables advocates a comprehensive view of all renewable technologies. APPA's main objetives are threefold: To carry out lobbying vis-à-vis national and European institutions, to provide legal and technical advice to its members and to provide them specific sector information in a consistent manner.

Communication Activities: IPVDistributed project; Biomasstep project, Organization of the National Congress of renewable energies of APPA (v editions); Self-consumption Congress (2 editions) Study of the macroeconomic impact of renewable energies in Spain (annual). APPA is member of all european renewable associations (Solar Power Europe, WindEurope, European Board Biodiesel, Ocean Energy Europe and International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC), Bioenergy Europe, European Renewables Energies Federation (EREF)
