Main EU Legislative Proposals: • EU initiatives regarding the gaming sector, including decisions regarding notified national legislation, DG Competition decisions on state aid and mergers, ECJ proceedings. • Follow up to the EC Communication on the European Framework for online gambling (COM (2012) 596 final) and the Council Recommendation on principles for the protection of consumers and players of online gambling services and for the prevention of minors from gambling online (2014/478/EU). • Proposal COM (2017) 0386 re: the Council of Europe “Convention on the manipulation of sports competitions with regard to matters related to substantive criminal law and judicial cooperation in criminal matters” (fight against match fixing). • Impacts on the gambling sector of adopted legislation and current regulatory proposals related to the EU digital policy (DSA, DMA, Data Act, Artificial Intelligence Act, ethical standards, civil liability of AI Applications, geo-blocking, Free flow of non-personal data, e-privacy, e-IDAS) • EU Consumer protection policy. • GDPR implementation and any further amendment. • Cybersecurity policy. • Anti-Money Laundering policy. • Corporate sustainability Due diligence & Corporate non-financial reporting. • EP own initiative reports (INI) relating to e-sports and videogames. • EU green taxonomy.
Communication Activities: Our group is committed to a transparent and constructive dialogue with EU stakeholders, namely officials of the EU Institutions. We participate in EC public consultations if they are relevant to our business. We have recently shared our top line contribution to European political parties' manifestos in the views of the upcoming 2024 Elections. Furthermore, when necessary, we directly contact relevant EU Institutions representatives (via requests for meetings, phone calls or emails) to request clarifications of legislation or present our views.

In 2023 Allwyn acquired Camelot Lotteries UK, becoming the operator 3rd National Licence in the UK. Camelot is also a member of the European Lotteries and of the World Lotteries Association. In March 2023, Allwyn acquired the Camelot Lottery Solutions group of companies and they became wholly owned subsidiaries of Allwyn. The Camelot LS Group, headquartered in Chicago, operates the Illinois Lottery under a private management agreement through its operating company, Camelot Illinois, and partners with the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery to enhance its lottery operations. The group also includes a technology arm that provides products and services to lotteries and their players throughout Europe and the United States.
