Mission & Interests

Goals: Algorithm Audit builds and shares algoprudence – case-based knowledge on best-practices for real-world algorithms. The strategy of the NGO is three-pronged: 1. Convening independent audit commissions to formulate advise on ethical issues emerging in concrete algorithmic practices; 2. Testing technical tools to audit AI systems (Joint Fairness Assessment Method); 3. Advocacy, by connecting international professionals and sharing knowledge with society and policy makers. Algorithm Audit is an independent NGO that is financially supported by the SIDN Fund, European AI Fund and Dutch Ministry of Internal Affairs.
