Mission & Interests

Goals: AGE Platform Europe is a European network of non-profit organisations of and for people aged 50+, which aims to voice and promote the interests of the 190 million citizens aged 50+ in the European Union and to raise awareness on the issues that concern them most. AGE’s vision is that of a European society inclusive of all ages and free from all forms of discrimination, where all citizens enjoy equal rights and equal access to fundamental goods and services and where all citizens, regardless of their age, are empowered to participate fully in society. In order to realise this agenda, our members believe that the EU must work in partnership with all relevant stakeholders. Info Members: The staff was composed of 14 persons (9 full-time and 5 part-time). The policy team comprises four policy officers and the Secretary-General. In addition, the communications team (one communications and one social media officer), one office manager and one administrative officer, one membership officer, on and one project manager support their work. The other persons are involved in research projects, which routinely develop policy recommendations based on research findings, which are sometimes presented in the European Parliament and with other EU institutional stakeholders.
