Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: Afore Consulting follows all legislative and non-legislative files impacting the financial services sector; most notably in banking, securities, insurance, asset management, pensions and payments. The team also covers digital services, AI, cyber security, energy policies, sustainable finance, industrial policy, taxation, company law, corporate governance, the EU UK partnership, EU-US relations, sanctions, international trade, the EU budget and the EU's trade agenda.
Communication Activities: Afore Consulting runs the Secretariat of EPIF - the European Payment Institutions Federation. Afore Consulting also runs the Secretariat of the EU Asia Financial Services Roundtable. On a regular occasion Afore Consulting runs roundtable discussions under the banner of Afore Consulting in discussion with … (https://events.aforeconsulting.eu/). Afore Consulting is the organiser of the annual Conference on FinTech and Regulation (https://www.aforeconsulting.eu/event/8th-annual-fintech-and-regulation-conference/). We are also a co-organiser of the annual EU-Asia Financial Services Dialogue and Dinner on the fringes of the EU-Asia-Pacific Forum on Financial Regulation. In February 2024 this will still take place in cooperation with ASIFMA and the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (SFC) in Hong Kong.
