Activities

Main EU Legislative Proposals: ASVT targets the Regulation (EU) 2018/1806 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 November 2018 listing the third countries whose nationals must be in possession of visas when crossing the external borders and those whose nationals are exempt from that requirement. ASVT targets Civil Liberty Committee in the subcommittee discussing Visa Waiver countries. ASVT targets the Home Affair Commission for what is in its power to add Thailand to the list of Visa waiver countries. ASVT contacts Committe members (MEP). ASVT works closely with the Directorate of Home Affairs responsible for immigration policy. ASVT seeks for the support of the ETC (European Travel Commission).

Communication Activities: Mailing to ALL European Union Citizen residing in Thailand. Petition to the European Embassy in Thailand . Facebook and Twitter activity to raise awarness of the inutility of Schengen Visa for Thai citizen. - setting up public meetings, conferences or events involving European citizens with relative/friends in Thailand - participating in consultations or hearings - submitting surveys among European citizen which support the thesis of the inutility of the Schenghen Visa for Thai citizens. -Getting suppot from EU countries' Parliament representatives elected overseas in Thailand/Asia constituency
