Mission & Interests
Goals: 11.11.11 is de Vlaamse Coalitie van Internationale Solidariteit en heeft twee belangrijke pijlers: lokale vrijwilligersgroepen en een 60-tal lidorganisaties van diverse strekkingen.
11.11.11 gelooft dat een andere wereld mogelijk is en werkt aan een andere globalisering op drie manieren:
1) Solidariteit met het Zuiden door steun aan en samenwerking met partnerorganisaties in Afrika, Azië en Latijns-Amerika.
2) Beleidsbeïnvloeding: om de oorzaken van onrecht en armoede aan te pakken, moeten we als Noord-Zuidbeweging wegen op de beslissingen van de overheden (Vlaams, nationaal en Europees), van internationale instellingen (IMF, Wereldbank, Verenigde Naties, Wereldhandelsorganisatie ...) en van bedrijven.
3) Bewustmaking in eigen land: om de vorige twee doelstellingen te kunnen realiseren, dient de eigen bevolking degelijk te worden geïnformeerd én gesensibiliseerd.
